Effective 4/8/10, please dial 847-670-7070 The equipment which provides METRO’s Automated Telephone Voice Response System (CALL-24) is reaching the end of its service life. Normally, this type of equipment would be upgraded or replaced so that service would continue without interruption. Unfortunately, the specific type of equipment necessary to operate the CALL-24 system is no longer manufactured so it cannot be replaced. This means that, at some point in the future, the CALL-24 service will be discontinued …….. the unanswerable question is when this will happen. Because the CALL-24 service provides many members a useful convenience, METRO has decided to leave the system in place as long as it remains operational. When the equipment fails (and it will fail in time) the CALL-24 service will cease to exist. Until that time, dialing 847-670-7070 will continue to provide a 24/7 phone link to account information.
